Many of you may have heard about the formation of the Burnett Medical Center Foundation. Since mid 2009 this group has met with initial guidance from the Burnett Medical Center’s Board of Directors and is now operating with their own Board of Directors and an active community group that is made up of key individuals throughout our county and the BMC service area.

The organization exists as a non-profit organization that is operating to raise funding for non-budgetary BMC needs. This funding will be achieved through grants, fund raising events, and philanthropic support such as gifts and bequests. The funds will be utilized to expand and preserve the medical center program offerings and provide much needed financial support for items the staff can access to advance exceptional healthcare for all users of BMC.

Others community members serving include John and Adrianna Addison, Joni Burgin, Sally Craven, Troy Goetz, Gary Nelson, Jim Olson, Robin Olson and Betty Peer. Ex-officio members include John Sauerberg (BMC Board President) and Gordy Lewis (BMC CEO).

The Foundation is off to a good beginning with a Valentine Banquet to be held on Saturday evening, February 13th at the Lakeview Event Center, Highway 35/70, Siren, WI, beginning at 5:30 pm with a social hour followed by a plated dinner, silent auction and entertainment.
