Direct Access Lab Testing
Burnett Medical Center’s Direct Access Lab Testing in Grantsburg offers you medical lab tests to choose from. We offer what you would like performed, at a reduced price, from a select menu of tests.
You may choose to utilize Direct Access Testing if you:
- Wish to have more frequent testing than your health insurance plan will cover.
- Want to assess and manage your health status on a regular basis at a walk-in lab in the Grantsburg area.
- Are uninsured or have a high deductible and want to take advantage of lower out-of-pocket expenses for medical lab testing in Grantsburg.
An order from your provider to receive a test is not required for direct access testing in Grantsburg. Our medical labs will not bill your insurance for these services— payment by cash, check, MasterCard, Visa, or Discover is required upfront before tests are performed.
Your test results will be mailed to you with an explanation of the medical lab test in our Grantsburg facility. If you would like to discuss results with your provider, an appointment is necessary. Results will not be forwarded to your provider.
How do I take advantage of Direct Access Lab Testing?
Our Direct Access Lab Testing in Grantsburg is available by walk-in or by appointment, Monday-Friday, 9 am - 4 pm. When you arrive, check in at the registration desk and ask for Direct Access Lab Testing. You will be asked to complete a form to indicate which tests you would like performed and to pay upfront for the cost. A parent or guardian must accompany anyone under the age of 18.
