Burnett Medical Center's Swing Bed Program in Grantsburg focuses on preparing patients for a safer, healthier return to their previous living situation following an illness or injury. It allows the physician to "swing" a patient's individual care needs from an acute status to a rehabilitation setting for Grantsburg, WI patients who need more time to recover from events such as major surgery, joint replacement, vascular or abdominal procedures, a major accident or stroke. Our swing bed hospital program in Grantsburg can also help with pain management, or wound treatment for wounds that are not healing or wounds that need daily assessments.

- Occupational Therapy

- Nutritional Therapy & Education
- Instruction to manage current diagnosis
- Discharge planning and referrals
To qualify, patients must be under the supervision of a physician, require daily skilled services, and have a three-night stay prior at Burnett Medical Center.
Swing Bed services may be paid for by Medicare Part A, HMOs, or private insurance.
