Financial & Collection Policy Summary

No one will be denied access to services due to inability to pay. A discounted/sliding fee schedule is available based on family size and income.

PATIENTS WITH MEDICAL INSURANCE

For patients with Medical Insurance, Burnett Medical Center will file a claim with your insurance carrier if you provide a copy of your insurance card (Front & Back).

After insurance has processed your claim, and if you have any self-pay balance remaining, Burnett Medical Center will send you a monthly statement. Payment is due upon receipt. Please contact our financial counselor at 715-463-7247 with any questions.

If you are not familiar with your insurance coverage or insurance-specific certification or authorization requirements, we recommend that you discuss your policy with your insurance company or employer before charges are incurred.

PATIENTS WITH LIABILITY INSURANCE

(WORK COMP/AUTO/HOMEOWNERS)
For patients with Liability Insurance, Burnett Medical Center will file a claim with your liability insurance carrier if you provide a completed Liability Form. This form is available from our registration staff. Accounts cannot be held pending settlement of a lawsuit.

PATIENTS WITHOUT INSURANCE OR WITHOUT PROOF OF INSURANCE

  • Those who are uninsured and do not qualify for Community Care will be given a 13% uninsured discount. If remaining balance is paid within 30 days of first statement, an additional 10% discount will be given.
  • If you are unable to pay this balance in full, our Financial Counselor will be happy to assist you in person or by calling 715-463-7247.
  • If you qualify, our Community Care program may offer you free or discounted care. (Please click here for more information on Burnett Medical Center's financial assistance program and policies.)
