CNA Program
Interested in becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant?
Burnett Medical Center is a state-approved facility to hold classes for those wanting to become a CNA. The class consists of a four-week program. The first two weeks is a 45-hour online training course with regular online attendance and progression (computer required). Must pass with an 80% or higher to continue to the lab and clinical portion of the program. The last two weeks (lab and clinical portion) are on-site at Burnett Medical Center's Continuing Care Center under the instruction of an RN trainer. The lab/clinical portion equals 40 hours making the total course 85 hours (hours are dependent of class size and progression). The completion of the course prepares you to take the state test which includes a written test and skill test.
Must be at least 16 years old to be enrolled in the CNA class.

There will be an application and selection process.
All inquiries and applications must be submitted by March 1.
A required physical/health clearance must be completed prior to the start of the course, including a drug screen, to ensure eligibility for clinical participation. This will be scheduled for the first 2 weeks of March.
